To promote a dual development in scientific innovation and talent cultivation, on December 7th, our university held a signing ceremony for the establishment of a production-education-research practical base through school-enterprise cooperation with Liaoning JiaShun Technology Co., Ltd. in Yinkou, Dashiqiao. Attending thesigning ceremony were Ma Weimin, Head of the Scientific Research and Discipline Affairs Department, Pu Baoming, Dean of the School of Intelligent Engineering, Yan Shuangquan, Director of the Teaching and Research Office at the School of Intelligent Engineering, and Jiang Liting from the Scientific Research and Discipline Affairs Department.
The signing of this agreement signifies not only a consensus reached between our university and Liaoning JiaShun Technology Co., Ltd. concerning talent cultivation, internship bases, and collaboration on research projects, but also represents a significant practical step where higher education institutions closely integrate with enterprises to leverage their respective strengths. This integration enables shared resources, complementary advantages, and ultimately drives mutual growth and advancement.
Director Ma Weimin, on behalf of the university, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Ni Zhongwei, General Manager of Liaoning JiaShun Technology Co., Ltd., for his warm reception. He briefly introduced the school's disciplinary development, talent cultivation, and research achievements. Director Ma emphasized that through this collaboration, it is hoped to leverage Liaoning JiaShun's demand advantages and the university's intellectual resources, leading to comprehensive cooperation in areas such as student practical internships, customized job placements, and the establishment of courses tailored to technical requirements.
General Manager Ni Zhongwei presented an overview of Liaoning JiaShun Technology Co., Ltd.'s progress towards building a smart factory. The company is about to commission a new 350,000 square meter production plant, which manufactures electrical-grade magnesium oxide products exported to over 20 countries worldwide, with Philips being a major supplier. The company boasts an annual output value of 180 million yuan. Recognized as a National Specialized, Focused, Innovative, and Little Giant Enterprise, as well as a Liaoning Gazelle Enterprise, Liaoning JiaShun places great importance on its partnership with Liaoning Institute of Science and Technology.Through jointly establishing a production-education-research practice base, they aim to achieve resource sharing, complementary strengths. Furthermore, GM Ni hopes that this cooperation will inject fresh impetus into the intelligent development of Liaoning JiaShun's industry.
Subsequently, the four-member delegation from our university toured Liaoning JiaShun's Provincial Technical Center and conducted an on-site inspection of both the new and old factory workshops. During this visit, they gained insights into the four production line processes employed in the smart factory, and engaged in in-depth discussions regarding the forward-looking research and solutions to key technical issues that Liaoning JiaShun has mastered in technologies such as fire-resistant cables, high-temperature magnesium oxide, and nuclear-grade magnesium oxide.
Finally, Dean Pu Baoming held conclusive talks with the company concerning the specific requirements for students majoring in Robotics Engineering at our university, as articulated by Liaoning JiaShun Technology Co., Ltd.
This school-enterprise collaboration to jointly build a production-education-research practical base will provide a platform for talent cultivation, nurturing more high-capability on-site engineers for industry development. The Scientific Research and Discipline Affairs Department will continuously deepen the school-enterprise cooperation by enhancing communication and coordination, promoting the integration of production, education, and research, thereby making greater contributions to our university's scientific innovation and the socioeconomic development of the local region.
